Working out at home for fitness and weight loss is not only practical, but can save you a lot of money.
You would be surprised at the large number of exercises that you can do with your own body weight that will tone your body all over, especially your abdominals. Not many people realise that strengthening your abdominal region is so important as this area represents your core which features as a support for most other exercises.
If your core abdominal muscles are weak, you will struggle with most of your other compound exercises, or worse, get injured.
I will show you two types of abdominal exercises you can do at home to get fit and lose weight. First, lie on your back with your legs extended fully out. Raise your right leg slowly up to about 75%. That is not quite straight up toward the ceiling.
Breathe out and contract your abdominal muscles. Now hold that position and raise your right leg to the same position, hold, contract your stomach muscles while breathing out. Now lower your right leg while breathing out, and repeat with your left leg.
Do this weight loss abdominal exercise 12 times.
This stomach weight loss exercise will tone your abs fast.
Start by lying on your back with your thighs at right angles to your body and lower legs at 90%, so your lower legs are parallel to the floor. Cross your arms across your chest and cross your feet.
Now raise your shoulders a few inches off the ground, bringing your legs toward your chest, and tense your stomach muscles, feeling the burn in the abdominal area. Do this 12 times every day to firm up your abdominal muscles and help lose weight.
